Insurance Professional- Rotational Hiring Program
Position Summary
The Insurance Professional Rotational Hiring program is designed to provide hands-on experience across three key areas: Underwriting, Marketing, and Claims. This position focuses on providing comprehensive exposure to evaluating and managing risk, marketing, and managing Claims processes. The role includes responsibilities such as underwriting policies, creating marketing strategies, and handling casualty claims with a focus on investigation, negotiation, and customer service. After successful completion of the rotational program, an individual would have a job offer in at least one of the three departments included in the program.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Underwriting Responsibilities:
- Review insurance applications and determine the level of risk and eligibility based on underwriting guidelines and authority.
- Assess the insurability of applications and classify risk accordingly.
- Analyze supporting documents to determine the degree of risk involved and make independent decisions regarding policy acceptance or rejection.
- Communicate with agents and policyholders to gather additional information necessary for underwriting.
- Ensure compliance with established underwriting rules and practices.
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote sales of Insurance programs and related services.
- Create marketing material and digital content to increase company visibility.
- Analyze market trends and adjust marketing tactics to meet evolving demands in the insurance industry.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent messaging and maintain brand standards across marketing channels.
Claims Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve claims, ensuring timely and accurate claim adjustments.
- Review insurance policies to determine coverage and claim limits.
- Gather statements from policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to obtain information regarding claims.
- Evaluate injury and liability aspects of claims, negotiating and settling bodily injury claims within prescribed authority.
- Set and maintain reserves on claims and ensure that all claim information is up to date.
- Provide customer service by assisting clients with instructions on how to proceed with claims.
- Identify and refer suspicious claims to Special Investigation Units (SIU).
- Identify potential subrogation opportunities and take necessary actions.
- Manage detailed claim records using relevant office systems and software.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred BA in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
Experience: Basic knowledge in one of the three key areas.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Licenses: Must possess a valid Driver’s License for potential site visits related to claims investigations.
Other: Participation in industry-related courses such as AIC, CPCU, or other insurance certifications is encouraged.
