Military Family Appreciation Day is an annual event organized by the Idaho National Guard to “recognize and celebrate the families supporting our troops by taking care of life here on the home front.” The event is free for anyone who has served or is serving in the military and their families.
Since 2012, Farm Bureau has sponsored the children’s games at the event in Pocatello. The company not only provides the games but also the volunteers to man each game. Volunteers explain the rules, make sure everyone takes turns, and hand out prizes and candy. The Farm Bureau games include Wheel of Fortune, Plinko, Lasso Golf, and Aqua Tag.
”It has been great to work with our community partners to bring this event to our community,” says Hiedi Young, Family Assistant Center Coordinator with the Idaho Joint Military Family programs.
