We hope you are as impressed with the quality of photography that made up Round 17 of Farm Bureau Insurance “Reasons to Love Idaho” photo contest as we are. There were some fantastic entries this round. There are also some very happy contestants who have once again left us with some extraordinary photos of our favorite state.
Those with winning entries are enjoying either a new Apple iPad or their share of contest prize money. The winning entries came from people all over Idaho. These images capture the unique beauty of rural Idaho areas like Firth all the way to wilderness areas like Alice Lake.
With today’s access to quality cameras everyone’s eligible to be a winner…given the right circumstances you might have captured “Summer Storm” which was taken by Mirjam Verba and won first place and the iPad.
And, isn’t it possible that you could have shot the sun rising on one of Idaho’s many beautiful lakes like Greg from Meridian did and lay claim to the second place title and $75. Oh and how about the fact that Greg took a second shot that day that was absolutely stunning for the third place award and another $50 prize.
Lane Erickson was back this round with another fascinating entry titled “Lemhi Mountain Range Sunrise,” which locked up the People’s Choice award and another $50 for Lane.
And last but not least Kat Smith was awarded the Judge’s Choice award for her striking and unusual photo tilted “Warning Sign.”
