This Farm Bureau event has raised over $25,000 for Make-A-Wish Idaho since 2009.

The weather at the Jackpot Golf Club was mild and pleasant on June 29, but something else in the air that day made the golfing extra special – a spirit of charity.
Farm Bureau’s Summer Charitable Golf Tournament was held at the club’s course that day, and the 30 teams and 150 people who participated in the event raised $7,118 for Make-A-Wish Idaho.
Bridget Robinson, Human Resources Administrator, oversees the annual Farm Bureau event. “Since 2009,” Bridget says, “the event has raised over $25,000 for Make-A-Wish Idaho.”
Make-A-Wish Idaho is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to Idaho children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. The organization relies on donations from individuals and companies to make these wishes come true. “Together,” their mission statement says, “we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.”
The $7,118 was raised from the sale of raffle tickets and mulligans. After a successful round of golfing and fundraising, the charitable golfers enjoyed a barbeque at the clubhouse.
Plans are already underway for next year’s tournament.
